Founded in 2015, 3DGBIRE began as a small tech startup, supplying 3D printers across the UK. With rapid growth, particularly in education and manufacturing sectors, their initial telecoms setup quickly became insufficient. Their expansion necessitated a more robust communication system to handle increased call volumes and internet usage and where agents could work from multiple sites but still be able to handle calls as if in the same office.
HM Network’s Tailored Solution
3DGBIRE turned to HM Network for a scalable, future-proof solution. We proposed a shift to a cloud-based phone system, offering flexibility and ease of scalability. This system allowed staff to use desk phones, or UC apps / soft phones across computers and mobile devices, ensuring seamless communication irrespective of location. HM Network would also design, install and configure the companies internal network, structured cabling, switches, comms rack and enterprise grade WiFi connectivity.
Key Implementation Steps:
- Cloud Telephony: Setup and configuration of the new multi site cloud hosted phone system.
- Customised Features: Creation of user profiles, direct dials (DDIs), Webex UC soft phones, hunt groups, and auto-attendant features.
- Custom Voice Prompts: Creation of IVR prompts and hold music.
- Offsite Build: All phones to be built and tested offsite, re-boxed and labelled for ease of deployment during installation.
- Seamless Transition: Temporary call diverting from the old system to the new setup, followed by a smooth number porting process.
For their imminent site relocation, we addressed their connectivity needs with a dual-pronged approach:
- Robust Internet Connectivity: Installation of a dedicated internet ethernet leased line with 100% uptime SLA.
- Temporary Internet Solution: Rapid deployment of fibre broadband with 4G backup for business continuity in the event of an outage.
- Structured Cabling & WiFi: Complete new comms rack, switches, structured cabling and data points, plus enterprise grade WiFi & Guest WiFi.

- Business Continuity: The move to the new site was seamless. Staff could simply plug in their phones at the new location (cabled or WiFi), and make and take calls on the smartphone app, ensuring no disruption in service.
