It doesn’t matter how many people you have online at the same time. With this dedicated internet you get the same upload and download speeds. Education services are typically delivered on 100Mb, 500Mbps 1Gbps and 10Gbps fibre ethernet bearers. You can choose any speed up to the size of your chosen bearer capacity. Because it’s truly unlimited, you can use it as much as you like. You can even flex your speed up or down, depending on your changing demands.

If upgrading bearer or changing provider then you should expect an element of downtime when the service is swapped over as you will most likely get a replacement router. This could be anything between a few minutes to a couple of hours. The engineer and order manager however will work with you to establish a suitable time and date.

You don’t share your connection with anyone else, so there’s no need to worry about busy periods, no matter what you’re doing: it’s reliability you can count on. BTnet support is available 24/7 from a dedicated team looking after your connection around the clock.
This all depends on what needs doing. If flexing up bandwidth on a service already in place it can be as quick as 48 hours. Lead times to provide new access circuits can typically vary between 45-90 working days depending on what work needs doing. An estimate of a completion date or “Customer Delivery Date” would be given after surveys have been completed.
You have options of wires only, Cisco or Meraki routers. The Meraki options are often good for customers who are coming from a broadband type service where the router provides WiFi and DHCP. Cisco routers are often preferred by larger clients who already have separate security and WiFi services in place. On BTnet the provided Meraki and Cisco Router configuration is carried out by a dedicated team. Configs for wires only options available on request.
The Meraki options are aimed at SME and come with a range of features that put you in control of your network.
MX68W replaces the previous MX64W for BTnet Express 50Mb and 100Mbps options adding POE and more ports.
There’s options for Wi-Fi and Guest Wi-Fi for visitors and plenty of plug-and-play LAN ports.
MX75 is now available for services up to 500Mbps and now includes 1 x external MR36 Access Point.
The Meraki MX250 router is available for up to 1Gbps service and also comes included with 1 x MR36 Access Point.
With the Meraki user portal you can keep an eye on usage from any device, anytime.
The Cisco ISR4XXX options are often preferred by corporate clients, schools and public sectors customers.
