Situation
Have you ever struggled finding an address but struggled and driven up and down for ages?
Maybe you have been out walking, got lost, and called for help but had no idea where you were?
Perhaps you have moved to a new business park or housing development and royal mail have not yet updated their systems which can prove problematic when arranging deliveries. We have been using what 3 words for a while and it helps a lot.
Postcodes
While postcodes are good, locations can sometimes have the same postcode as a property many hundreds of metres away if on the same side of the road which can make it difficult to pinpoint an address if the door number or property name is not visible.
W3W
Basically the entire planet has been mapped into 3×3 metre squares, and each one given its own unique reference using 3 seemingly random words.
Use Cases
We often provide connectivity to large businesses where buildings are huge, or a collage that needs to illustrate to us where a server room is on a campus.
We have also worked with events companies that required temporary connectivity to a field for a festival. Using what 3 words we can easily pinpoint a location which makes our lives and our customers a whole lot easier.
Examples
Here is an example using our office in Preston ///swing.zest.effort
And an example to a particular point where a stage was erected for a festival in a park in Lancaster ///loose.spring.eggplants
